It’s the final countdown.
Of the 2026 Owensboro Farmers’ Market season, that is.
This weekend kicks off the final two markets of the season, which just so happen to be themed extra special markets with lots of magic and fun sprinkled in totally different ways.
Saturday, October 31st, it’s… you guess it, the Halloween Market.
If you have never attended this market event before you are truly in for a treat.
First, you should know, the weather is forecasted to be a GORGEOUS fall day. Personally, I’m someone who loves Halloween to be a chilly, rainy, gloomy affair, lucky for all the rest of you, it’s looking to be everyone else’s idea of a perfect fall Halloween day — mid-60’s, no rain. Will the sun come out? Will she not? It’s looking like she will not, let me at least have my overcast Halloween, y’all. It’s called compromise.
What should you know before attending the Halloween Market?
Trick-or-treating will take place throughout the regular market hours.
A Costume parade and contest begins at 10:00 am. (this is a crowd favorite part of the day, you don’t want to miss)
Back this year is The Best Vendor Costume Contest. Check out the creativity of your local vendors and vote for your favorite booth.
Spooktacular fun at both the extension and kid’s booths.
Fall favorite foods, drinks and produce.
We’ll see you there — Saturday, October 31st. 8 a.m. to Noon. 1205 Triplett St, Owensboro, KY 42303. 🎃
